Nice looking steelbook and a great classic movie make this a good addition to your collection. Although dated this is probably the best video version of this movie so far.
Nobody is questioning the brilliant movie that lies embedded within the blu-ray of this release. The steelbook although metaphorical could have had more impact with more design. Furthermore, the blu-ray is the standard release with no remastered attempt. The lack of features is a clear indication of a cheap release. Bottom line. It could have been better. Much better.
Firstly, the Steel book itself is one of the best that I own, I own quite a few... Great colour and design with a premium feel, you can't beat it. The transfer of the bluray is the best I have seen, i have owned the dvd and video of this film and it was like viewing it for the first time. I would definitely recommend this to everyone!
I held off buying this when first released due to the price and lack of features but very happy to purchase at the recent sale price...Its a great 80s film with a great cover and would recommend to anyone to buy this while you can at this price,..a great addition to my very large (535 +) steelbook collection,5 stars for the steelbook
Having been a long time since it was made, I was very delighted with how well they have improved the picture quality, while keeping the film's original feel of dark and dusty pool rooms and the whole feel the film originally had. Better than before or than I remembered and as always Newman is superb in the role. Highly Recommended for any pool,Newman or Cruise fan or just the love of a good film.
Arrived today and the postman left it on the floor and it has dents in it under the wrapping not pleased
This is a great movie about pocket billards (aka pool). I grew up playing pool with some of the greatest pool players the world has ever seen. I highly recommend this movie of all pool enthusiasts.
