The Conversation is regarded as one of Francis Ford Coppola's greatest films.
Two-time Academy Award winner Gene Hackman (Unforgiven, The French Connection) plays a paranoid and personally-secretive surveillance expert who has a crisis of conscience when he suspects that a couple he is spying on will be murdered. This tense thriller makes some remarkably advanced arguments about technology's role in society that still resonate today.
In addition to Apocalypse Now, The Coversation was Coppola's only other film to win the prestigious Palme d'Or at Cannes.

One of the best films in the history of American cinema. It is comparable to Antonioni's "Blow-up". Professional eavesdropping becomes great allegory of film mediumi in this full of suspense, completely unpredictable crime story. Fantastic soundtrack, beautiful, uneasy images and great role of Gene Hackman. Definitely, the best film of Coppola - better even than "The Godfather" or "Apocalypse Now", although totally different.
The Conversation is a brilliant Blu-ray of a brilliant film! The picture and sound are top-notch for a film of this type and age, and there are interesting extras too. The conversation is a complex, dense, psychological and paranoid thriller. If you haven't seen it before, this disc is the best way to catch it.
The improvement in the 1080P video is evident here. Don't hesitate.
