In celebration of the 25th Anniversary of Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Phantom of the Opera, Cameron Mackintosh produced a unique, spectacular staging of the musical on a scale which had never been seen before. Inspired by the original staging by Hal Prince and Gillian Lynne, this lavish, fully-staged production set in the sumptuous Victorian splendour of London's legendary Royal Albert Hall features a cast and orchestra of over 200, plus some very special guest appearances.

If you're a fan of the great movie, you will love this bluray for sure! I haven't been able to see this great musical in London but this bluray is just as good as the real thing.

As expected

For those who like the Phantom, this is a great DVD. The only thing I didn't really like was the amount of close ups they do to the characters, which stops you form seeing what else is happening on stage. It really takes that theater sense away from you. The end is really a bonus that any fan will love to watch.

Phantom of the Opera

The Phantom of the Opera at the Royal Albert Hall DVD is a great show. The part at the end where they introduce past casts and then brought Michael Crawford out was just wonderful. Im just about to watch it for the third time and I would recommend it to all music lovers and live show fans. It is one of the best DVDs in my collection.

An excellent disc. Well worth the price. I have not seen a better performance of the Phantom anywhere.

The Phantom of the Opera has always been a great musical to watch. If you have another disc containing it should be enough, NO! This is a pure gem, with wonderful visual and audio content, this disc is fun to watch and listen. Regarding of this take: Staged at The Royal Albert Hall, beautiful place. Looks like a rock concert with all the cool visual effects. This won't hurt to have in your collection. You'll be watching it many times.

Phantom Reigns

What a terrific Blu-ray and DVD set. Turn the volume up loud and the lights down very low and listen to the music of the Phantom. If you could not make it to the 25th year at the Royal Albert Hall this will more than make up for it and if you did make it this will bring back the memories of that spectacular show. Not only do you get the whole musical set in the stunning location of the Royal Albert Hall but also the added extra of hearing Colm Wilkinson, Peter Joback, John Owen Jones, Anthony Warlow and Sarah Brightman singing Music of the Night and Think of Me.
