Zavvi Exclusive Limited Edition Steelbook - Ultra Limited Print Run.
Director John Hillcoat's adaptation of Cormac McCarthy's Pulitzer Prize-winning novel. In the burnt-out wasteland of a post-apocalyptic America, a man (Viggo Mortensen) and his son (Kodi Smit-McPhee) try to survive by any means possible as they follow a desolate, corpse-strewn road towards the coast, where they hope to find some kind of a future for themselves. Travelling with only the clothes they are wearing, a small cart of scavenged food and a pistol with two bullets as protection, they struggle to survive in the ravaged landscape, encountering a few other desperate survivors along the way.

One of the strongest experiences I've ever had watching a movie. A totally gripping film with FANTASTIC performances, score, cinematography and directing. You won't forget this film. The steelbook is, as always, beautiful. Well done, Zavvi. It really captures the kind of harsh and depressing purity of the film, with the boy and his father always at the center of the story. Really, buy this now, the price is NOTHING for a great product. Highly reccomended!!
Truthfully a film that stays lodged in you mind, a great star cast & Viggo. M one more time shows his excellent acting talent, he never let's you down( A History of Violence, Eastern Promises, L.O.T.R.,)The landscapes the post apocalyptic feel that is placed before you, the story. The steelbook itself is designed to match no question the films theme Viggo & His son in the movie are placed in such a small frame, to present to us the desolation & the nothingness that surrounds them to a T, the grey is like mixed with a sought of smokiness that are protagonists are within a kind of suffocation. Really close to the book & collectable? Yes indeed!.
A slow and beautiful movie. Great looking steelbook
Wow, what a confronting movie ! I really hope the future does not hold this for mankind. This is a "must buy" movie if you like drama. Good graphics on the case & solid build, as all "real" steel books are !! Go out and buy this movie from Savvi Danny / Australia
Artwork on the steelbook is quite plain but nicely finished and looks good overall. The sound and picture quality of the film are also excellent. I would recommend this
Nice steelbook which suits the film, fairly plain but smart and haunting. Nice addition to collection.
Lovely Steelbook with some excellent extras as well: Audio Commentary by Director John Hillcoat, "Walking into Darkness: John Hillcoat's The Road" Documentary, The Making of The Road, Stills Gallery. Bargain!
A great steelbook for one of the best apocalyptic-drama movie. Perfect package, receive in a short time.
Excellent film with an beautiful steel book case
John Hillcoat's adaptation of McCarthy's The Road is a bleak, somber story of a father and son's survival in a post-apocalyptic world. To make a film drenched in greys and covered in grime and dirt look so beautiful is quite the achievement, and the connection to the two central characters is powerful. A must-see. This film is topped off by a fantastic steelbook cover, that shouldn't be overlooked by any collector or fan of the movie.
