Family fun

4 stars out of a maximum of 5

This is good fare for families who like science fiction adventure films. It romps along with plenty of action, a little bit of intrigue and a few laughs. With a core premise involving time travel it could easily have got messy but that plot line is followed well and even though it keeps moving at a fast pace you know where you are. There are plenty of cues and clues for the aficionado of the genre - Disney do bring an awful lot to the table in this film and if there is a criticism is that it is too referential. But having said that this is a genre that is quite heavily populated with big blockbuster films so it is difficult to cover new ground and keep a wide range of viewers happy. Good fun.
