Zero Dark Thirty narrates a page of history since 11S till the death of Bin Laden. The director does not judge and that makes this movie much more interesting. Chastain plays one of the best female characters in many years. In Spain we are still wondering who killed our people.
Director Kathryn Bigelow delivers a thought provoking and sometimes shocking account of the hunt for Osama Bin Laden. Shot in a documentary type style, the film follows one CIA operatives, played brilliantly by Jessica Chastain, who has a ten year obsession with tracking down the world's most wanted man. In a male orientated world, Chastain's character must prove herself whilst witnessing brutal interrogations, which at first sicken her but then she, herself, starts to use the techniques to get what she wants. To begin with, I was dreading sitting down to watch this movie, especially at over two and a half hours long but the film grips you right from the start and keeps you wondering right to the conclusion. You know the ending already but I was fascinated how they achieved their goal. The title, by the way, refers to what the American Special forces call half past midnight.
