Earth 2 Vol. 2 furthers the tales of the New 52’s alternate universe, where Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman have perished fighting for Earth, and new heroes have taken up the fight. Green Lantern, The Flash, Hawkgirl, Doctor Fate... but not as you know them. The art is outstanding. The writing is charmingly hokey. And honestly? It’s a better alternate universe story than Injustice, choosing to divert in vastly more interesting ways. A great entry point to the multiverse for new readers, and this volume continues the tremendous narrative started in The Gathering.
