Whilst sexy Chicago Police officer Sharon Pogue (Jennifer Lopez) is pursuing a suspect, she nearly becomes the victim of a fatal ambush until a mysterious stranger, Catch (Jim Caviezel) intervenes and saves Sharon's life. Is it a stroke of luck? A twist of fate? Or just a concerned citizen who happened to pass by the right time and wasn't afraid to get involved?

Maybe, but Sharon and Catch have met once before. As the two fall in love, they discover the truth about each other and are forced to deal with the secrets from their past.

Angel Eyes

5 stars out of a maximum of 5

At 73 years of age I find it difficult to get enthused about the current "shoot 'em up, blow 'em up, blow blood and guts over the camera lense" array of movies. As it happened I stumbled onto Angel Eyes on the Sky Channel here in New Zealand and once it started I couldn't turn it off. I had obviously heard of Jennifer Lopez by way of news media with the usual hype and trivia; and wrote her off as no serious topic to watch. I was so wrong. This film starts off looking like a journey into surrealism but turns into a good yarn that sparks a lot of different emotions. Other reviews have covered the ground adequately so I would like to suggest that it will become a Film Noir in the same vein as Bogart's.
