The long shadow of Captain Phil Harris stretches like a Bering Sea storm over the Dutch Harbor fleet in Season 9 of Deadliest Catch. Especially over his sons, Josh and Jake, as they take over co-ownership of the Cornelia Marie. So will they step up, settle their differences and co-captain the Marie together, or will salty water prove thicker than blood?
Season 9 also sees two new skippers join the veteran fleet and battle lines are immediately drawn. I actually bought and watched all 9 seasons in a row to get a feel of the series, and this was the best one so far, except for certain "characters" sort of missing. If you liked the earlier ones, get this one as well. I would not recommend starting from this one since the viewer should be aware of the history of the people in the series.
