In sixth century Persia, a nefarious nobleman yearns to own the Sands of Time; a legendary dagger that gives its possessor the power to manipulate time. Whoever owns the dagger has the power to rule the world, therefore it cannot fall into the wrong hands. There will be many battles to protect it.
Dastan (Jake Gyllenhaal) is a rogue prince who takes charge of making sure the dagger doesn’t succumb to the evil forces. He, along with Tamina (Gemma Arterton), a rival princess make an unlikely duo who will fight to protect the Sands of Time.
Based on the hit game by Ubisoft, Prince of Persia: Sands of Time is a film that was made for gaming fans and film lovers alike.

I'm not a fan of the game and know next to nothing about it, but took my son to see the film. He is 7 and really enjoyed it-there are some very funny parts but on the whole i found it very cheesy and unfunny-however this is the humour young children have so he really enjoyed it! The story had a really bad ending, quite unplausable but was packed with action and you couldn't help but want to watch to the end. Worth a watch or to rent but wouldn't buy.
I was really not expecting to enjoy this film, but I have to say I was so wrong, it is brilliant. I am so glad my kids nagged me to watch it as we all loved it, it is full of action that keeps you watching from begining to end. Not sure it is too much like the game. Highly recommend
This is a game for all. The graphics are stunning and the game is rivetting. Kids and adults alike will enjoy the action. The fights are realistic and the baddies great. Stunning addition to anyones Christmas stocking
I have played all the Prince of Persia games, but this the latest game is awful..It is highly repetitive especially the battles which are easy and boring. I hated the fact that the prince didn't gather health along the way, always protected and saved by his side kick. One of the most boring games I have ever played. Its saving grace are the graphics which are excellent.
After being introduced to Prince of Persia via the XBOX 360 by my son, he managed to convince me to see this film. The story does have the storylines which people can relate to if they have played the game. This film has everything you need to keep you entertained. Great storyline, that keeps you at the edge of your seat. Exceptional scenes with a well known cast. It is a film that a family can enjoy and certainly will not be dissapointed. My whole family loved it.
Wasn't sure if I would enjoy this film but it was really entertaining, a great story from beginnning to end. And good effects and filming, would recommend this to watch.
