Summer-time and New York's sweltering Lower East Side provides the setting for Victor Vargas, a self-styled teenage Casanova, in his quest to become a man. Living in a cramped apartment with his younger 'Victor wannabe' brother Nino, his antagonistic sister Vicki and his hilariously cantankerous grandmother, Victor tackles the complex emotions of the transition from adolescence - taking responsibility for his life, protecting his family and experiencing first love with the most beautiful girl on the block, 'Juicy Judy'.
Directed by Peter Sollett, whose Sundance and Cannes award-winning short 'Five Feet High and Rising' provided the inspiration for the film, Raising Victor Vargas is a humorous, refreshing and heart-warming tale of teenage life and love.
