Hollywood Hood

This was the first ever film I saw at the cinema and I loved it then, and I still love it now. It could be a nostalgia thing for me but there's something about this film that I love. Michael Kamen's score is fantastic and the sound design is as equally good. Some bits have a little bit of cheese but it was the early 90s. One of the best scenes is by far Morgan Freeman's speech to the Englishmen in the final act. Some say that Kevin Costner wasn't great at being Robin Hood because he was an American. I always thought that he was excellent in the role and he really took it seriously has he learnt how to do long bowing and got very good at it. With Russell Crowe's new Robin Hood film out this may end up being one of the forgotten ones, I hope it doesn't though because it's a fun filled ride, definitely recommended for all the family.
