Twenty-six years ago, Sam and Dean Winchester lost their mother to a mysterious and demonic supernatural force. Subsequently, their father raised them to be soldiers. He taught them about the paranormal evil that lives in the dark corners and on the back roads of America ... and he taught them how to kill it. This haunting series follows the Winchester brothers as they crisscross the lonely and mysterious back roads of the country in their '67 Chevy Impala, hunting down every evil supernatural force they encounter along the way.

Good Guys & Bad Beasties!

5 stars out of a maximum of 5

Having followed Supernatural from the beginning, I always look forward to the next new series, and Series 5 has been no disappointment! As ever, each episode is a drama in itself, with suspense and nerve jangling moments applenty. However they also link together to keep you interested from one episode to the next, waiting to see whether the brothers will defeat the bad guys and save the world from apocolyptoc evil. But who exactly are the bad guys? This series, as with those before it, ends with a cliffhanger...but this is the cliffhanger to end all cliffhangers, and had me on the edge of my seat screaming at the screen! And for us girls, obviously there is the added appeal of Jensen Ackles & Jared Padalecki...which to choose!

Phenomenal

4 stars out of a maximum of 5

Volume 2 of Season 5 is truly a phenomenal piece of television writing. The development of the chatacters plays a major role and the audience is drawn to Sam & Dean. Their battle as they fight for the belief that free will, loyalty, love and family can triumph over destiny and evil certainly keeps me entertained. Furthermore, their determination is outstanding. This volume contains some of the best episodes The build up to the last episode is intense and profoundly exciting. This TV drama is one of a kind and I would not hesitate at all in recommending it to all those who enjoy supernatural movies and TV series.

Carry on my wayward son!

Will Sam and Dean defeat the Devil or will they say yes? The second part of series 5 leads viewers to the ultimate showdown between the 2 gorgeous brothers (anyone else thinking Cain and Abel??). Series 5 just kept getting better and better. Big cliff hanger at the end that will leave you mouth open and waiting for the next series. The writers always leave you with a big question mark of where are they going next and wondering if the brothers can survive. Series 5's finale doesn't break the trend...And Jenson Ackles is hot hot hot!

Should have been a great ending

5 stars out of a maximum of 5

Season 5 was always meant to be the last season for Supernatural, the culmination of a long running storyline finally has a pay-off... which almost finishes with a perfect ending.. Almost.

It never fails to please

5 stars out of a maximum of 5

If you're already a fan then you know how great the story lines and acting are but this is brilliant for non fans as it's easy to pick up the story. It's full of tension as you never feel like you know the outcome. Can't recommend this series enough.

Addictive viewing :)

5 stars out of a maximum of 5

This part of the Supernatural series stands up well on its own, the brothers are older and the episodes have plenty of individual plot so first time viewers are ok to jump straight in. Each one is basically a mini horror film but with much more plot and character interaction than your average horror more a mystery suspense mix and some good humour too. I rate this 5 stars and think it's a good enough series with enough strong points that it should appeal to most people, but I warn an addictive series so you'll probably end up buying the other episodes (I have!)
