The Ricky Gervais Show is the new comedy from the funny man himself, as well as his friends Stephen Merchant and Karl Pilkington. Originally created as a podcast which won a place in the Guinness book of World records for the most downloads, the guys have collaborated with the likes of Hanna-Barbera and turned this wonderful podcast into a superb animation that expresses the comedic content that extra mile.
Fans of Gervais and his risqué sense of humour will most certainly not be disappointed and indeed fans of comedy in general will like this new take on subjects such as the merits of 20th Century inventions and Philosophy evolution through the ages. This is definitely not one to be missed.

Very Funny, worth every penny if your a fan of An Idiot Abroad or Karl Pilkington. His hilarious comments and mild bullying from Ricky and Steve make this a must buy.
Brilliant show featuring brilliant Karl Pilkington whose view on the world amazes me. This is another brilliant series in Ricky Gervais collection, This is definitely worth watching.
This is a tough call. Being a great fan of the works of Ricky, Steve and Karly Pilkoids at Xfm, I was looking forward to this with faint trepidation. Unfortunately my fears were confirmed; the format just doesn't work in the visual medium. For me, a lot of the humour from the radio broadcasts was thanks, in part certainly, to one's own imagination. As the gang batted anecdotes and insults back and forth, laugh-out-loud moments were pretty much guaranteed in much the same way as a humorous book can make you spit your coffee. With the visual layer added I feel something's been lost. Three stars from me - just listen to the podcasts for complete aural satisfaction.
First, you need to get past the fact that the Ricky Gervais cartoon character is an exact copy of Fred Flintstone after a shave. This has to be one of the funniest shows for a while. All 3 guys are excellent, although in the editing Stephen Merchant doesn't seem to do much. It's childish, rude and crude, which makes this so good. It won't be for all, but worth a watch (Even if its just for the Monkey News) I say Buy, Buy, Buy.
I thought that this was one of the funniest things that Ricky Gervais has done thus far. Not only because it was funny but because it was so different from average comedy shows that are on TV at the moment, the combination of great comedy material and animation makes a brilliant mixture that, if you like Ricky's work, will make a fantastic addition to any comedy collection. Anyone who says other wise doesn't have a funny bone in their body!!!!
If you loved the podcasts, seeing them getting brought to live is pure amazement. More laughs per episode than any comedy since Seinfeld, and that is a fact, Jack
I heard these as podcasts and was highly disappointed in them. They weren't funny and I am big Ricky Gervais fan. When I saw that he had allowed them to make them into a show I was shocked.
This series had me in stitches - who ever thought cartoons and podcasts could be so funny! Laugh out loud comedy!
