An excellent mini saga showing US involvement in the second world war through the eyes of a senior American serviceman working in London. That makes it a welcome change from an entirely "how we won the war" american perspective.
Great mini-series from the early 80's. Good production values but some of the staff are just too old. The May-December love story between Pug (Mitchum) and Pamela (Tennant) is unbelievable but in the book Pug was only in his early 50's.
