Best World War 2 Documentary

5 stars out of a maximum of 5

The World at War series shows a true insight into the bloodiest war the world has ever known and shows it from both perspectives with amazing footage and a great narrator in Laurence Olivier. Amazing box set which is at a very low price.

world at war boxset

Anyone with a keen interest in military history will be more than happy with this series. First watched them at school and they left quite an impression. Purchased the boxset at an incredibly low price and received very quickly. Narrated by Laurence Olivier it takes you through all the main battles and gives interesting background stories. Some of the footage is quite distressing but if you have the stomach for it, it is gripping stuff.
