This is a turn based strategy with RTS combat just as all the games in the Total War series. This is the most refined and the best Total War game. You will get atleast 100 hours from this game if you're a strategy fan. The expansion are also very interesting maybe even more that the original campaign. Highly recommend this to anyone who is a strategy or total war fan.
The Grandest Strategy Game with all of its DLC in one box for a great price! I already had it via Steam, I just had to buy this Gold Edition for it's stunning package :)
After being disappointed with the new Rome instalment (I'll get back to that in about 6 months once they actually complete the game they were working on). I decided to order Total War: Shogun 2 to satisfy my Total War hunger. The girlfriend already hates the game because I play it so much. Set in imperial Japan, you play as one of the clans eager to gain power and rule over Japan. As with all Total War games, the diplomacy, town management and war-waging is brilliantly done. My only complaint is the initial time it takes to get used to the UI and new units (as a fan coming from Rome: Total War), but after a few hours it all sinks in and then you start enjoying the game more and more. This Gold edition is the ultimate Shogun 2 bundle, containing all the DLC except the Blood and Gore pack, which you can get off steam. 5/5
The Total War series is one of the best strategy games out there, and Total War: Shogun 2 is definitely the best one in the series. And this is an excellent edition if you want to jump in. It includes the main game, both expansions and all the DLC (except Blood Pack, but it only adds blood, it is cheap on Steam and it is lacklustre). The package is gorgeous as well, bearing black and gold colours and nice background art. Really, with the included content and at this price, it's a steal. This game can be easily played for hundreds of hours. If you are a fan of the Total War series or strategy games, you must give it a chance.
