If im being honest I found this game a little diffiuclt to follow at first, but by sticking with It It didnt take me to long discover more about the characters, where they came from, and how they fit into the bigger picture. The story itself is fantastic and the battle system works briilliantly, much better than I was expecting. The graphics are slick and quite beautiful, the only down side I can see is that they are a little bit linear, and tend to repaet themselves in the scenery. I could spend hours typing about this game telling you all about it, but to be brutally honest Im going back playing it now as its excellent. Id recommend this game to everybody, so get out there and get it bought, you wont be dissapointed.
Final Fantasy XIII (Platinum) is fantastic! the graphic is wonderful and gameplay is well done! I advice Final Fantasy XIII to everyone!

Final Fantasy XIII has amazing jrpg, with good storyline.
Final Fantasy XIII delivers great graphics, a beautiful new world, and a beautiful story. Wild twists of events and great gameplay make this a must-buy for all the Final Fantasy lovers. The sequel is out now, so this is also a reason to play this game... you wouldn't want to miss two great games, would you?
This was the first game in the series I bought, and I've been around playing games for a while. The truth is I never felt compelled to jump into the series because it seemed a little boring, all the J-RPG stuff and all. As it turns out, it's not all that bad, the cinematics are cinema-like and the characters are interesting. The downside is that the game feels a bit too linear and the locations I've visited in the game so far are too much alike. But, my girlfriend loves the game and she's so into it I'll give it four stars.
Final Fantasy XIII got mixed reviews around the internet, but as someone who never played a Final Fantasy game. I really enjoyed it.
In spite of the fact that the game has several issues, for a Final Fantasy game, it's not a bad one. After the Final Fantasies of the PSX era (VII, VIII and IX), it is truly a disappointment, but in a couple of ways, it's better than the last chapter; Final Fantasy XII. The story is a bit overly-complicated sometimes, but it remains to be interesting, bitter-sweet and more or less successful in being able to avoid most of the boring Japanese RPG clichés. Most of the characters are likeable as some of them can be annoying at first due to their attitude (Vanille for example), but on the long run you get to learn more about them and their motivations. However, the most painful step-back, is the corridor-RPG structure. Yes, there are no cities, and no world map. You are just running through a storyline-tunnel. You watch some movies, fight, and watch some movies again. Despite this, it has a commendable, real-time tactical battle system, and full-scale, traditional Final Fantasy story, with original characters, not horrible, stock Japanese RPG characters. The PS3 version has undeniably one of the most beautiful visual systems of this generation. Overall, it is a very good choice for anyone who has a thing for Japanese RPGs.
