I'm more or less reviewing just the second title here, because that's what it's about. ;-) If you like mechas, buy this collection. The second title isn't just accidentally one of the best PS2 games of all time. And Kojima himself was pushing basically a remake of the remaster of the second title forward - when it was released, it was completely unplayable, because Konami hired High Voltage (not a really good game company) and payed them just the bare minimum for the port (so it seems). Anyways, you can see how important the title is for Kojima - so if you're a Kojima fan, it's a must buy as well!
A classic remastered, all I can say is that is a perfect title to remember younger times with nowadays graphics
I've been really looking forward to experiencing Zone of the Enders HD Collection, but this is not it! These ports are terrible, they're advertised as a 60 fps experience, but in reality the frame-rate is all over the place making the game lag and be slow. If you've ever played the ps2 versions, you'll be disgusted by this collection, because it butchered the game play of the originals.
Zone of the Enders HD Collection is one the best games ever. It has an awesome soundtrack, with a great plot and characters.
I love zone of the enders
A brilliant game that has aged rather well considering the year it was released. you take control of a mech called Jehuty as you battle to protect your home. Very fun and high speed fighting. Highly recommended.
Cool game! It delivers what you would expect all in a nice revamped HD experience. Money well spent on this one - the interior of the case is also colored. Also the manual is fully colored.
For people who love ZOE, this Zone of the Enders HD Collection is a must. It's a whole new dimension, because you can enjoy it in HD. I've got both games for ps2, but they were starting to make me blind on my ps2. They surely did a good job in this remastered version, but I cannot say that it was perfect. There still are various lags, and nothing has been really added to the story or the VS mode.
The Zone of the Enders HD Collection is a welcome return for me. I loved these two games when they first came out and I was very pleased to find them. Of course you can see the frame rate is very slow, but the game remains beautiful and enjoyable. I recommend it.
