Call of Duty - Modern Warfare 2 (Hardened Edition)

The Call of Duty series moves back to its modern day setting with this sequel to the action-driven shooter Modern Warfare.

Although a successful series in its own right, Call of Duty reached new heights with Modern Warfare, taking the first-person action from its World War II setting and creating a gritty storyline based in modern times. This new direction helped make Modern Warfare one of the most popular action titles of all time, and Modern Warfare 2 picks up shortly after the events of the original title. Using its traditional trick of multiple viewpoints, Modern Warfare 2 quickly moves player across the globe and through a series of tightly-scripted action sequences.

As with the original, Modern Warfare 2 includes a robust multiplayer component once players have worked their way through the singe player campaign. A collection of new perks and abilities are now on offer that allow players to gradually unlock new abilities as they rise through the ranks. Spec Ops lets three players join forces in a series of individual co-operative missions.

Call of Duty – Modern Warfare 2 manages to expand on Modern Warfare’s already in-depth multiplayer, as well as providing another rich single player component.
