Super Meat Boy sees players taking on the role of a small, skinless, cube-shaped character named Meat Boy, who must save his girlfriend, Bandage Girl, from the evil Dr. Fetus. The game is divided into multiple chapters, which together contain over 300 levels. Players must guide Meat Boy to the end of each level while avoiding buzzsaws, salt, and various other fatal obstacles. The player can jump and run, and can stick to walls in order to either jump off of them or to slide down them.
Levels in each chapter can be played in any order, but a certain number of levels need to be completed to access the boss stage, which unlocks the next chapter if cleared. The player has an unlimited number of attempts to complete each level; if Meat Boy is killed he immediately restarts the level, though the red blood left behind on surfaces that the player has touched remains.
Completing a level within a certain time will earn an "A+" grade, which unlocks a harder alternate level in the "dark world". In addition to these, there are hidden warp zones, accessed by finding portals in specific levels. These feature retro styled bonus levels, which have a limit of three lives or are patterned after another video game.
Clearing certain warp zones or collecting enough bandages, which are hidden within the game's levels, unlocks guest characters from other indie games. There is also a replay function, accessed after a level has been completed, which shows all of the player's attempts at completing the level simultaneously.

Super Meat Boy is a very good and very hard game. In Ultra Edtion are good poster, very funny comics and graphics.
Ordered Super Meat for my wee boy. I'd recommend this to anyone who likes old-school platforming and a challenge.
Disappointing, to have to wait about two years for the game to come out in a physical form, and to get a box with a code to activate it online. They could at least have put a physical CD for the music.
Super Meat Boy is a really good game.
I have been playing Super Meat Boy for over 6 months. I am truly amazed by this game. It's something unique. It's the best platform you can get for the PC. Perfect control over Meat Boy makes it a truly enjoyable experience. So many levels to keep you busy, over 300+ levels including secret levels like Warp zones and Dark Side of the normal ones and many many more. One thing that catches the eyes of the player is the idea of having a huge reference to retro games like Final Fantasy I and Castlevania. The music is beyond awesomeness. One thing that I liked so much was when you go in a warp zone the music goes to 8 bit!! This is truly an amazing experience for players who likes retro games. Gameplay is addicting. You can play for hours and hours without stopping, and one thing, Super Meat boy is HARD. You will die a lot, but that will not stop you because most of the levels are within the screen, and the pass time for a level is no more than 30 seconds. When you die you respawn immediately, you lose no time in loading and the music doesn't stop and continues to not lose the rhythm. Super Meat Boy is the ideal platform and one of the best there ever will be. It stands like Super Mario Brothers with the same letters SMB, but it's an awesome game which with honor takes also the place with this letters.
Super Meat Boy is one of those games where you will die a lot but the balanced difficulty curve gives you plenty of time to become accustomed with game mechanics, fluid movement and controls, before all hell breaks loose. The inspired level design, catchy soundtrack and witty plot will immerse you in the world of Super Meat Boy. I highly recommend this game and especially for those who have played N+.
