Really great game!
This game has a few competitors in it's genre and Deus Ex Human Revolution is one them, which is also a very good game. I always love the settings in the metal gear solid series. Every gamer should dive into this series.

First of all, Metal Gear Solid 4 isn't aimed for newcomers, as they're bound to be lost in the story. Those who want to start playing the series, probably need to play the Playstation One Classic Metal Gear Solid, which is available on Playstation Network, and the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection. Half movie, half videogame, is what defines Metal Gear Solid 4 as a must-play. Those who loved the story in past games are going to have their questions solved. The game is so masterfully flawless: try to find a bug and you're going to lose. Expect a lot of long, crafted cutscenes that are going to make you feel that you are watching a movie instead of a game. Metal Gear Solid 4 only has one, unique letdown - no trophies. I still definitely recommend you buy it. You will not regret it.

Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns Of The Patriots is absolutely brilliant. Don't let anyone tell you that the cut scenes are too long. Anyone who has seen them will confirm that they are, in fact, almost perfectly-paced, and so well executed that one cannot possibly fail to see why they are integral to the game. That aside, the game-play itself feels like a next-gen Metal Gear Solid should - an evolution of the franchise. The variety and satisfaction is the same, only now you have even more toys to play with, and more ways to tackle your enemies. It is astounding from start to finish, and one of the best games ever made. No matter if you are familiar with the series or a newcomer, you should play this game.
