Silent hill Downpour

4 stars out of a maximum of 5

One again Silent Hill: Downpour is a good Silent Hill title for the person who loves to jump out of their skin whilst playing computer games in the dark. This is a chilling game, with atmosphere and graphics to keep you on edge throughout the game. It switches from present time to a gruesome surreal reality. This is not for the young or the faint-hearted.

Silent Hill: Downpour is a great addition to my collection at least until I get the chance to properly play it.

well done and very athmospheric

Silent Hill: Downpour is the first one I played from the "Silent Hill"-series. I just love the dark and scary atmosphere in which the game takes place. You are really scared when one of the creatures approaches you. Graphics and sound are very good and the good gameplay forces you to play on and on. I would recommend it to fans of the series, but also to people who enjoy a well done action adventure with lots of horror elements.

Silent Hill Downpour

Well where to start the game is not totally bad but due to constant lagging and frame rate issue makes the game also sometimes unplayable which takes the joy from playing this title although there is a patch for fixing this problem in the works for ps3 and xbox though no one heard when its going to be released , although by this time im not sure if fans are going to be disappointing on a simple patch, I think this game got so many bad reviews despite the glitches is the story and the game was made. In my opinion if they made it a separate title as in different name people would not have slashed it harsher than pyramid head slashes his victims, the game doesn't have anything to do with previous silent hill titles apart from the street filled with fog and a bonus we get rain this time YAYYYYY pointless!! The race in the nether world its pointless you just try to escape the so called monster which all I see is a vortex, well sort off, when I get to the nether world used to get nervous as in what will jump out or expecting some creepy stuff but now its like :get ready, set, go .... there's the finish line. The game would have been better if they checked and fixed all the bugs and give it a different name

Downpour

4 stars out of a maximum of 5

Downpour is the latest in the Silent Hill series and a big improvement on the last release on the PS3, that being the HD Collection which I just couldn't get into. I would also consider it better than Homecoming which I did complete. Yet to complete this game but enjoying it so far.

Welcome Back!

3 stars out of a maximum of 5

Inescapable purchase for all Silent Hill Fans. Silent Hill: Downpour boasts great atmosphere, amazing puzzles and an intriguing story. On the other hand, the action and fighting is poor at times, but you can pass over it because it is ultimately a good horror game - 3 stars out of 5.
