Mace Windu was a Jedi Master on the Council during the Battle of Naboo and subsequent Clone Wars.

Known for his unique purple lightsaber as well as his own style of  deadly lightsaber combat, Mace Windu was ultimately defeated by Emperor Palpatine and his new apprentice Anakin Skywalker (soon to become Darth Vader) at the end of the Clone Wars.
