Mace Windu

The character of Mace Windu was first seen in Star Wars: The Phantom Menace, played by esteemed actor Samuel L. Jackson.

Recognised by his distinctive purple lightsaber, Mace Windu was a Jedi Master and revered member of the Jedi High Council during the closing years of the Galactic Republic.

He served as a Jedi General during the pivotal events of the Clone Wars, fighting alongside the soldiers of the Grand Army of the Republic.

As the war came to its natural end, Mace Windu would find himself face to face with Sheev Palpatine – the elusive Sith Lord orchestrating the conflict from behind the scenes, known infamously as Darth Sidious.

After a fierce duel, Mace Windu would ultimately triumph over his foe until he was betrayed by his fellow Jedi, Anakin Skywalker. This betrayal sent the legendary warrior’s purple lightsaber tumbling over the side of the Senate building, where he would shortly follow after being struck by Force lightning.
