Iron Man Mark 42 is Tony Stark's new armoured suit from the Iron Man 3 movie. Standing almost 15 inches tall, this 1/6 scale ARTFX Statue captures the look of the Iron Man Mark 42 armour with its overlapping plates and metallic gold colour with red accents. The Dynamic pose captures Iron Man blasting into action, hovering over the realistic water base and leaning back as he fires the repulsor ray from his right hand.
The Iron Man statue features an LED light-up feature in his eyes and arc reactor, with three settings to choose from: off, continuous on or triggered via the built-in sound detector, you can choose how he's prepared for battle. in my opinion, for the price it was really pretty, nice details. the light didn't reach the hands, means the light in the hands were very weak.
A little disapointed with this after all of the good reviews. Very careless paint job, red paint on the gold, gold paint on the red. I am not talking ablout a slight overlap of paint, more like someone has caught areas of the statue with the paint brush. Should have been spotted before it left the factory.
Bought this quit a while ago and when it arrived first impressions were, wow. For the money you can't go wrong, great dynamic pose, good paint work and stands very stable. Quit a weighty figure and very solid. If you're thinking of getting one of these, don't think, just get it. Cheaper than the hot toys power pose, and not far off the looks quality wise. And with a better base. :-)
