It is a 7 disc set and comes in one case. The 7th disc is an extra features disc and includes some pretty good stuff for the afficionado. Included are original scripts and magazine artlicles in pdf format. There is also a picture gallery and the usual option of watching selected episodes with a running commentary by some of the stars including Ian Ogilvy. Although this is a dvd set I watched it on a blue ray machine and the episodes look really great, perfect sound and vision. As for the series itself, I really enjoyed it. There are 24 episodes and what separates it from most of the ITC network adventure series of the late sixties and seventies are the high production values. Overall, this series stands up really well and Ian Ogilvy does a fine job giving The Saint a new edge. Just like The Persauders, The Return of the Saint was cancelled after just one series, albeit for different reasons. If you are an afficionado of the tv adventures programmes of the sixties and seventies or even just want something different from todays style then you could do much worse than buy this series. I thoroughly recommend it.
