The 90'S animated series of the X-MEN was the highlight in not only the history of animated super hero tales but cartoon history as a whole. Running an unprecendented 5 seasons, the X-MEN has remained the benchmark for all animated series to measure themselves against. Here we have Season 1, Volume 1. The episodes that started it all. Brilliant voice work and snappy dialogue make this a must watch. It has been tidied up so you get better picture quality than a straight copy and while the animation is not the flashy, 3D style we see today it is non the less very impressive. Action, humour and love all while dealing with real issues of isolation, predjudice, racism are all brought together without it becoming a boring, bash over the head information film. This is an entertaing show that can be watched again and again. Cyclops, Wolverine, Rogue, Gambit...all the favourites are here and if you don't know them then watch this and you will grow to love them. Great for people who grew up watching this classic show and great for new comers as well. A must for any X-men fan for certain and a good buy for those interested in all the fuss.
