We watched this as a family and loved it ! the BBC made a good show which is rare these days. I If you like good solid family drama this is a must.

Merlin - Complete Series 1 (Box Set) is a great product and starts my Merlin collection off perfectly.

A great re-telling of an old legend, with very high quality production values as you would expect with the BBC. A wonderful and evolving script, well written and performed, this series will have you gripped from the start, and you’ll want to watch on episode after the other. The characters have a wonderful depth and believable relationships developing from one episode to the next, something often missing from many TV series. I just love the relationship that forms between Arthur and Merlin. Recommended viewing. This box set contains 13 episodes on 5 discs and a bonus disc full of extras including a behind the scenes look at how the series is made, cast video diaries, wallpapers and more. The discs are contained in good quality folders, within two sleeves placed in a box designed to look like Merlin’s magic book. Very good value. Fantastic value for money, this box set is a must for both those who enjoy the series and those who like fantasy and series based in the medieval past. Entertaining for the whole family. Highly recommend this box set.

best series ever made in my opinion. Appeals to all ages, young & old alike. magical with a touch of humour. Cast are all brilliant and suit their parts. Locations are superb...truly entertaining viewing. Actors play their roles so lifelike, you almost believe it is real...

So having watched this on BBC1 i decided to get the box sets and i know i won't be disappointed.I like this twist on the Merlin tale ad feel it has been done quite charmingly.Good actors and good plots make this a treat that all members of the family can watch together,a rarity nowadays.Makes a change from all of the reality shows on at present that i find boring! Recommended viewing for all of the family and on dvd you can watch them again and again.
