Battlefield Bad Company 2 is an excellent example of what makes a good FPS. With a highly enjoyable online multiplayer experience and a character driven, fun to play single player campaign, BC2 ticks all the right boxes. One of the best things about the campaign is the way DICE pokes fun at Modern Warfare 2. Throughout the story you'll hear funny remarks from your squadmates about MW2 - I won't spoil any here. Familiar faces from Bad Company return in the form of Sgt Redford, Haggard and Sweetwater. You resume the role of Preston Marlowe as you and your squad are sent on a perilous mission to find out what those pesky Russiands are up to, and hopefully put an end to WWIII. Multiplayer is better than ever with the addition of destruction 2.0. Now entire buildings can be levelled with enough firepower. The rank up system with unlocks along the way is well implemented and requires players to put in the hours if they want better weapons, equipment and class specialisations. I thoroughly recommend BC2 to anyone looking for a new FPS to invest in. See you on the battlefield!
