Excellent Game, main story is fantastic and the aside missions will keep you entertained for hours.
Nothing to add, Commander Shepard is back, with a new enemy added to the geth and the Reapers. New enemy also means new crew members, and you won't regret them, despite the fact I would have loved to see. No, I'm not going to spoil it, just buy the game and discover it, you cannot be disappointed.
It's a good, realistc game from ages, which once upon ever come in the future. Aliens side by side with humans against bad forces in the universe. It have a great story with great heroistic characters. Congratulations for the game. Thank you all, who made it.
This is the greatest game I have ever played and I have played a lot of games. I would recommend you play the original Mass Effect before playing this. The graphics, gameplay and plot are all stunning. You would have to be crazy not to buy this!
Great game, definitely worth every penny.
Brilliant RPG. It encourages exploration in a significantly better way than the last game. The presence of a large number of potential allies and contacts (both from the last game and new ones) makes the player feel highly involved. Watch decisions from the last game affect your options and use a much improved array of powers to annihilate the enemy.
very good game, it had a great story but It was a bit too short for my liking but over all the graphics and the action and the story was great , i suggests if you like shooting in 3rd person and pushing people with powers this is the game for you :)
OK so I've just finished my first play through of ME2 and am compelled to write this! I have enjoyed quite a few games but none have involved me quite so much in their plot and characters. The new combat systems may feel a little bit unfamiliar at first for those who played the first Mass Effect - everything's there but just slightly tweaked - but once you overcome this you are reminded of all the good things about the ME series. For new comers to the game franchise worry not - if you have never met these characters before you'll soon find yourself falling in step with the plot with plenty of catch up sessions with old characters and new. This really felt more like an interactive 50 odd hour movie rather than a game (which just happens to be exactly what I want from a game). There's plenty of action for those into shooters, skills development for RPG fans and quite a bit of emotional involvement for those who like a bit of that. Your decisions and how much you commit to the game really do have an outcome and for achievement hunters it will really pay to get involved with the whole plot-line, follow up all those conversations and see those gamer points roll in when all your hard work pays off in the final scenes. Oh and sci-fi fans will also love the detailed Universe with all it's informative stories and tit-bits. The DLC that's available can only help add to the experience (just got shadow breaker to complete the extra plots and they are all worth it). Yes there are still some elevators to go through but these are dealt with in cutaways more than standing around waiting which does help ease the boredom and frankly this aspect has improved since ME1 immensely. A truly worthwhile investment for gamers of almost any particular taste (except perhaps family gamers - there's a lot of adult stuff in here) which I would highly recommend. Roll on ME3!
Having never played Mass Effect 1, I was a bit unsure about ME2.I needn't have been. This game is awesome. I've always been a little unsure of RPG's and sceptical that these games can be anything but monotonous. ME2 really blew me away. The story is incredibly in depth and aside from the fantastic level of interaction with well written characters, the action aspect of the game is engrossing as well. The end product of two story run throughs, adding the (free) downloadable content along the way, is that I now own ME1. 10/10.
Mass Effect was a revolution in terms of game play, graphics and the story in a futurist RPG. Unlike most game companies which reuse the same style of the original in sequels, Bioware has changed literally everything in Mass Effect 2, except, of course, the main character, who follows on from the original game. Mass Effect 2 immediately starts where the original left off but it’s obvious within seconds from playing the second game that Bioware has clearly used the two years between the release of each game effectively to improve every aspect of the game. The game itself has a story that flourishes even more than the first, within the first hour I found myself enticed in the game, every time I didn’t play it, I thought about playing it and every time I stopped playing it, I wanted to start playing it again. The graphics almost physically strike you with how incredible they are, the game play has evolved further into a shooter-style, adding a more intense feel to each battle which leaves you craving for more and the story...in fact I won’t spoil that for you. The feature that makes the original so amazing was the in-game choice system. You could choose good or bad options based on most situations and although the first created this engine, it rarely changed the outcome unfortunately. You could use it to skip some boss battles, by persuading them that fighting wasn’t the way but other than that, nothing really changed no matter what you choose. The second, on the other hand, further shows its possibility, in some situations you can even choose to kill your team mates if you want to. It’s hard to describe something so great without making a blog, I liked the first, especially the story but it wasn’t the best game for me, I bought Mass Effect 2 for £20 and to be honest, it is definitely one of the best games I’ve bought this year. The price has now dropped even further, so what are you waiting for?
