Brilliant 70's Doctor Who starring the incredible Jon Pertwee as the flamboyant 3rd Doctor complete with velvet smoking jackets and frilly shirts. This DVD contains two cleverly put together stories - The Frontier in Space, a six-part story which has a gripping cliff-hanger ending leading into Planet of the Daleks. The first story by Malcolm Hulke sees the Doctor and his companion Jo Grant (played by the wonderful Katy Manning) frantically using all his skills to avoid an interplanetary space war between Earth and Draconia. But right at the end of the story there is a dramatic twist to the story that leads to the brilliant Terry Nation's Planet of the Daleks. I can still remember being gripped by these two stories as a 7 year old in 1973! This is classic Doctor Who and it really doesnt get any better than this. Look out for Roger Delgado's last ever portrayal of the evil Master. 100 out of 10
