Although DVD players have been around for a while now, this particular model is innovative in its pebble design. Its stylish and beautiful to look at, making it really stand out from the crowd (since it veers away from the rectangular box approach of most players). Its sleek and touch-sensitive (the disc tray is so trim you barely notice it), but given that its so compact, connections are understandably very limited, which means that there is no SCART output (so check your connections before buying). But its not all about the looks, performance is key. And the Samsung H1080 delivers in all areas: solid, crisp picture quality (1080p) that is second to none and a USB port that supports CD ripping. At a great price, this player offers superb value for money all round.
