avoided going to see this at the cinema but when it came on dvd my 10 year old talked my wife in to buying it, im all for a gamble and sat and watched it with them. I dont know why I didnt fancy watching this because generally most kids films these days are good. Wow I really liked it and as the film went on I suddnly realised I was loving it. The story is original and the characters endearing. It had the usual supply of funny jokes for both adults and children and good animation. The blu ray & dvd combo is a different idea, the blu-ray format is excellent and together with "Up" they were probably my favorite childrens films of 2009.
