The storyline and the acting are fine, however the blu ray picture quality is very disappointing.

Even though I don't like Tom Cruise as an actor and didn't like Spielberg's work for decades, War of the Worlds (Remake) is an excellent and moving film. Dakota Fanning turns in a splendid performance. An obvious must buy if there ever was one.
