I bought Sherlock Holmes as a gift for a friend's birthday. It was a really good price and is an amazing movie.

This is a very clever and very entertaining adaptation of the classic that is Sherlocke Holmes. Very thrilling and action packed, even showing scenes of Holmes mentalys walking through his combat moves, giving a narrative of everything he plans to do, then blowing you away as he carries out his planned attack with expert precision and skill. It has a good mystery element, keeping you guessing right until the end. A Great film, worth the money.

This is a brilliant adaptation for a modern audience. It keeps you guessing right to the end and the mysteries are genuinly very clever. If you are a purist, this fim is probably not for you. I am a fan of the books and Jeremy Brett shows and still find this fantastic as I viewed it with an open mind and recognised it as it's own thing. Filled with references to the books, including main characters and back plot, there are little homages to the original Holmes' too. If you know nothing of Holmes, but like a good action film with a clever plot, this is for you. And if you do like Holmes and can see this as something knew, it is for you too. I strongly recommend this to virtually everyone.

I loved this ! It's an action packed, fast paced, good old fashioned fun movie. Im ready for the next one now pleaseeeeeee ! The story was great and the cast delivered it beautifully to the screen. Robert Downey Jr., Rachel McAdams & Jude Law were all fantastic and very well cast in their parts. Love him or hate him Guy Ritchie did an excellent job with this film and shows great undersanding of our hero. I know it wont fill all effienardo's boxes for 100% accuracy but it's a great film that leaves you wanting more, which is the point isnt it ? A must see pre-order it now !
