This game is just fantastic you can work in teams with large armies and if there is any other game in the world I would buy this you can't imagine the effects and how there voices sound like everyone just buy this game

Before I got this game I saw a lot of bad reviews on it, gameplay was awful, graphics weren't up to standard. However since I have played this game I haven't seen any of these faults. It is a updated version to the PS2 classic "the third age" - which was class. The storyline itself is great, seeing locations you recognise from the Hobbit or the LOTR trilogy. Also, the game itself is challenging right from the start. The lowest level is normal and your inventory is rubbish. This obviously makes you want to play the game more, earn more cash and keep improving your character. The final point is the online functionality. You and two friends can play through the story line coop online, which a lot of gamers have been asking for in games. This is fantastic as the AI can be very daft and monotonous when playing. All in all this game is a hugely underrated game, and if you were like me too - unsure whether or not to get it. I strongly recommend this game to you.

Very good action RPG with an interesting story. Also includes 2 player offline split screen co-op and up to 3 player online co-op. Its very much worth the price.

Loved this game and you will too if you loved Champions of Norrath and the ps2! It's nice and casual with plenty of replayability, you can choose between three classes which are the dwarf warrior a human ranger and a female elf mage. Theres a wide variety of weapons and armours of varying rarities. It's jolly good fun trading your equipment with a friend in co-op too, it was a huge nostaligia bomb for me.

Lord of the Rings: War in the North will leave you with mixed feelings. The story and characters are well written within the LotR world, but the fighting mechanics are easy and repetitive. It is the coop for 3 people and the never ending amount of loot which keep this game interesting.

Epic Lord of the Rings game! So addictive, and the combat is great!

Lord of the Rings is an ok co-op hack'n slash if you are into those. The freedom of choice is quite limited and basically you play in a tube without much freedom to choose your own bath. Anyway, with the limited selection of drop-in drop-out co-op's this is still easily worth the discount price.

This is a very good game, if you have a friends to play it with. It is great RPG material and very good hacks and slash. It also has a great story, that would make a great side-movie to the Lord of the Rings trilogy. I'd say this is the best co-op game for PS3, that I have ever played, and an awesome product to buy. I fully recommend it.
