I bought the The World At War: The Ultimate Restored Edition as a Christmas present for my mums' partner. He loves history and in particular, anything about the war. The DVD was nicely packaged and looked the part, which is what you want when it's intended as a present.

The World At War is a fantastic series that takes me back to my youth when I used to watch it with my brothers. I really recommend it and the price is great too.

I'm so pleased to have The World At War: The Ultimate Restored Edition. It really brings home the implications of war and I think everyone should watch this. You can really learn a lot from watching it.

Despite the terrible subject matter, this is a compelling series, which will probably never be surpassed. It truly reflects the staggering scale and effects of the Second World War, from all perspectives. Highly recommended.

The restoration has worked well making the picture sharper and widescreen with the benefit of 5.1 sound. The packaging is attractive, and my only reservation is that the booklet that tells you the titles of the episodes on each disc is a bit light on content / insubstantial. Should be bought in quantity as Xmas presents for old and young alike.

For anybody who wishes to learn more about World War Two, this excellent collection of DVD's is a must have. The production and quality is really good. I would strongly recommend this collection.

This is by far the best collection of world war two archives available. Great for a gift.

This truly is the ultimate documentary about WWII. This restored version is awesome and the included 12 hours of extra add a lot to the documentary.
