Once again Spielberg has created a superb piece or story telling. The gritty realism - this being based on true events - makes you realise how lucky we are now. We owe a lot to these guys. Ordinary people doing extraordinary things. Watch it and don't let such loss of life occur again.

The Pacific is a must see.Excellent throughout. The price through Zavvi makes this a steal.It comes in a metal tin as well which is a bonus.

The directors move in a different direction from Band of Brothers with this series, focusing more on the lives and relationships of a small number of Marines, rather than the action of the platoon/company itself. It brings about new thoughts on the war and how relationships were made and broken thanks to it. A well-made series, especially enjoyable for people interested in WWII and its events.

As good as, if not better than, Band of Brothers.Delivered quickly byZavvi at a very competitive price.Makes a super present.
