I played Pacific Rift which came before this in the series and really enjoyed it. With Apocalypse they made it even better! The lush greens of the forest on Rift have been replaced by the grays of a cityscape as 'The Festival' goes urban. The intensity of the series continues and the real time events as the track deforms from the earthquakes add an extra feeling of exhilaration (and hopefully accomplishment) as you have to react quickly to the changes to prevent smashing your car (and the subsequent re-spawn). The narrative added in this game gives a bit more depth to the otherwise simple 'racing through a city' story and the three difficulty levels associated with it allow progression through the game while helping to build your skills. The online racing is very well executed, and allows you to challenge friends to prove who's the best I really enjoy this game and find it very enjoyable. This is a very well made arcade-style racer.
