Dragon Quest IX (9): Sentinels of the Starry Skies is a great game. The graphics are nice and the music is stunning. I've spent nearly 20 hours on it and I am still playing. It's a must buy.

Dragon Quest IX (9): Sentinels of the Starry Skies is an incredibly addictive game. If you like Dragon Quest, this would be the reason to buy a 3DS. Maybe the only downside is that there's no real main character, since you create several by yourself, but that's not really important in my opinion.

Dragon Quest IX (9): Sentinels of the Starry Skies is the best JRPG game on the DS. The pros are the size of the world, the side quests, the alchemy system, a great multi-player option, quick-save and the fabulous climate. I recommend Dragon Quest IX to all fans of Japanese RPG.

My step son loves this game and finds it highly enjoyable he has just moved from the Pokemon stage to this which is a little more grown up. He seems to really enjoy the story and the challenge of the game. Would highly recommend.

A huge charming quest with nice graphics and sound, and bags of gameplay. if you've never played a Dragon Quest game before this one is thoroughly recommended.

Why did I wait so long before buying Dragon Quest IX? It absolutely lives up to all the great reviews it has. It will easily last you 60+ hours and as you build a team to fight alongside you, you will find yourself genuinely caring about them. I can't put it down!

This is a good title even for players who are not familiarized with the Dragon Quest series. Good story, classic battle mechanics. All in all, an excellent RPG to take out with you and play on the go! Reccommended.

This game is great, it has hours and hours of game play. It has a fantastic story which is gripping I couldn't put this game down.

This game has to be one of the best games on the DS to date. The story starts off a little slow and can be very repetitive, as the majority of the game involves the same layout of finding someone to talk to, going through a dungeon in order to fight a boss, in order to move on to the next area. Having said this, I still found that the game's more deeper story had me immersed in a wonderful adventure exploring new towns and solving mysteries along the way. At first I was worried that I may find it a little tedious and childish, but it was more than challenging at several points of the game and also with the customization and occupation options, I would recommend this for all ages. A definite must buy for fans of the series and most definitely worth a look for anyone looking for a fun hand held game that has lasting value.

This is an excellent turn based RPG. If you are a fan of the dragon quest series this is the best one I have played on the DS to date. The graphics are excellent and the story keeps you hooked from start to finish. I would highly recommend it unless you dont like monster mashing to level up your character, as this is a main feature of the gameplay. The local multiplayer is a welcome addition also allowing you to play with up to 3 friends who have the game (please note you cannot play co-op over the internet just locally between DS consoles) Overall I give this game 4/5 losing 1 star because online multiplayer would have been great over the internet.
