This film released in 2010 is an excellent thriller. The structure and pacing of the movie is terrific and all the actors deliver excellent performances. It is set on a sparsely populated island off the NE coast of the united states. It features an anonymous (ghost) writer who is hired to finish a manuscript that was started by another ghost writer who had recently drown in the ocean. The ghost writer (Ewan McGregor) interviews the former British prime minister (Pierce Brosnan) who is facing a scandal and has to deal with the noise created by the media and protesters as well as the minister's staff and wife. At times the suspense in this movie reminded me of a Hitchcock movie. The blu-ray movie has excellent picture quality and contains some bonus features such as an interview with the movie's writer and his process to write the story. Note that the copy I purchased is region B and I had to use a region B player to play this disc (many other region B movies will play on my other player)
