Surprisingly good

5 stars out of a maximum of 5

As the title states this film surprised me, I have to be honest it either went straight to vid or the cinema release completely passed me by either way I was not expecting much when I sat down to watch the film. I'm happy to say I was very wrong, the film was very entertaining and engaging and didn't suffer from the having over paid and under motivated stars in it. If your after an entertaining evenings viewing look no further.

Actually pretty enjoyable

Neil Marshalls films are, let be honest pretty gory affairs, and Centurion is no different. Telling the story of the IX legion, who allegedly disappeared after marching into through Northumbria into the territory of the Picts, modern day Scotland. Michael Fassbender, who has really come into his own in the past few years, does really well in this role, Noel Clarke is fantastic as the Numidian Macros. Its an action film and yes the characters could really do with some more meat on the bones, but otherwise, its pretty good, just don't expect an Oscar winner!

I had great expectations of this film having had it recommended to me by a friend, however I was sadly disappointed. The storyline was difficult to understand and the film had more violence in it that I expected. I'm sorry but I did not enjoy it at all.

A great film. Plenty of action and plenty of guts and gore. Definitely worth watching.
