Chance In A Million is possibly the funniest sitcom since Fawlty Towers. Tom Chance was brought alive by the genius of Simon Callow. It's such a shame hardly anyone remembers it. I believe it was only shown the once with no re-runs. Go on treat yourself, you won't regret it.
Chance In A Million is an old series which I had never seen before. It is very different and very funny. There are some predictable moments but still done in such a timeless way that you cannot help but laugh. All in all I enjoyed it very much.
I'm very pleased with this purchase of Chance In A Million: The Complete Series. It is a very funny sitcom. It's a real lost gem.
I remember watching this when i was a lot younger. It made me laugh then and likewise, it does now. Although a little dated, its still as funny as i remember. Its the fore-runner to Victor Meldrew with his foot in the grave. a classic British comedy.
Chance had very clever writing with the totally improbable coincidences that dogged Tom Chance's life and he takes it all with a smile on his face. Now my wife, who has never seen it before, can learn every line as I will watch it many times over. At least Chance in a Million is now on my shelves and in my DVD player, buy it, or miss out on a classic comedy series.
Chance in a Million - I forgot how good this well-loved 80s sitcom was! Simon Callow, playing the anti-hero Tom Chance, gets into some weird mishaps. It's quite middle class comedy though; it's not laugh-out-loud funny, but it's giggle humour. Despite this, it's a delight for it's good acting and it's really well written. Brenda Blethyn as the foil is superb. I definitely recommend it.
I've been trying to get a copy of this series to watch for years. It was one of my favourites when it was on the tv and it is still as good to watch today. My wife couldn't remember this series, but when I put it on the dvd she had to watch all of the episodes over a few days. Excellent.
