I have been disapointed with many a Marvel film these past years, it seems that only Spiderman could hold up to the comic he came from, but then came Iron-Man, the first one didnt put action in the foreground, in my view a change for the good, but character and cockiness (=a fair bit of comedy), it had an all-star-cast and a not all too bad story, but now to the sequel, it is everything the first one was: excellent. It follows perfectly in its predecessors footsteps, and delivers well, especialy the new addition of Micky Rourke. I hope you and your children have as much fun with this film as I did.
