Set a year after "The Ripper" case 'Whitechapel 2' throws you straight back in the seedy East End with the team being ridiculed for their loss of the Ripper at a big police shindig while a man is brutally wounded in a pub. As with the first series the tone of the affair is set up early on. The one big difference of this series is that Joe and his team of misfit coppers know exactly who the culprits are this time they are taking on the new "Krays" and are in a race against time to arrest them. With corruption and lies at every turn you get to see Joe completely unwind and become just a little bit crazy. Well acted and sharply written even though it's not a who-dun-it you are still sat at the edge of your seat waiting for the finale and as a viewer aren't let down. Special features are entertaining and gives a light hearted view in to the cast minds and what they think about the roles of the culprits as well as their own. Deleted scenes show a little more depth, but aren't that different to the final cut. All in all a great return after the original "Whitechapel"
