Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition is one of the best games that I have played. It's really fun and entertaining. If you like RPG and FPS games, then this is the game for you.

The designers of this game clearly had fun working on this product as attitude is exuded from every pore of the cell shaded graphics. When the introduction is the hook to any great game, Borderlands looked to film-making by giving short official introductions to the characters available to play as. The role playing game element is a unique feature any first person shooter, but it accomplishes this by blending it subtly into the main mission yet allowing the player to explore quit a vast world in which options are indeed free choice and not a necessity. It is a great tribute to the makers of Borderlands that every side mission is a valued addition and not a hindrance. If you enjoy a shoot 'em up regardless of background, realism and genre, this is a game designed to draw you in and keep you there at the eager-smile stage of gaming.

Considering how long ago Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition was released I think it would still do well this month, or even this year. The graphics are excellent and it plays very smoothly especially if you take into account how large the game is. Play by yourself or in a crowd of up to 4, it does provide a lot of fun for your pounds. I have read a few comments about the repetitiveness of the game however if you like this genre you will not be disappointed, and if you especially enjoy obtaining trophies this game will give that extra piece of a challenge. There are quirky little extras such as dueling with your friends or challenging them in the arena. My only problem, which surprisingly has not been fixed, is sometimes the headset cuts out or speeds up and you cannot understand what your friends are saying. If you can shrug off this error now and then.... it is probably about the only error in the whole game. The add on packs are all on disc and are individually themed nicely, basically zombies, clap traps and Scooter's cars, these are each fairly long and certainly add a heap of value to this game of the year edition.

It is a great game that combines old FPS mechanisms with a stunning graphics and a cool GDR infrastructure. I love the 'old western' mood mixed with a violent sense of humour. The 'cartoon' graphics, with so many details, are fantastic. A great game.

I was pleasently suprised with Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition. With all of the extra content it represents good value for money at today's prices. My only real gripe is I keep running out of ammo as a lot of the bad guys take a lot of kiling. When it jumps back to where you last had an auto save you don't get your ammo back, in some stories this makes it a bit gruelling.

I love Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition, it's been a brilliant purchase and sets up me up nicely to play Borderlands 2.

Great game. Many hours have been wasted glued to my TV playing Borderlands, and with the Game of the Year Edition I can enjoy many more! Highly recommended for anyone who loves great games.
