Empire & Napoleon (Game Of The Year)

5 stars out of a maximum of 5

I have played a few others of the Total War line and found them to be great fun. Playing the Napoleon and Empire demo, I wasn't convinced that these two would be much different to the others I've played, but after much pleading from a mate saying about all the amazing battles he has had, I bought it, and he was right. The campaign is awesome and on Napoleon online they are even better either battling friends or teaming up and taking over all of Europe. The battles are extremely good aswell. I'd say that Napoleon has the better graphics and great online, and Empire you can conquer the world and has the great campaign and country selection. Overall, this is a great game bundle to add to your Total War collection or a good place to start it and with a little getting used to.

Two great games for a Total bargain

5 stars out of a maximum of 5

From the very beginning, the Total way series have been the premiere choice for armchair generals who enjoy turn based strategy mixed and spiced with real time tactical fighting on a large scale. And we're talking large! The total number of your brave soldiers on the battlefield can be easily on par with real historical numbers, and we're talking thousands of men, horses and artillery pieces battling for field supremacy at the point of a gun, sabre or cannon ball. Like stated before, you have to balance your savvy tactical decisions with important strategic choices that can win you the battle even before the first soldier is trained. That is because as you conquer the provinces, you must make sure your economy, political power and military might are all on the same high level, or else you risk isolation, encirclement and destruction, and you can be sure the opponent, be it man or computer, will not allow you to be weak. I give this game pack 5 stars because you get a lot of bang for your pound or euro, and what you get is the best the strategy war gamer can secure. It's time for war. Total war! (note: you need steam to play this game, so if you don't have Internet on your main PC or don't want to get a steam account, you can't play it. The only major fault I can find with the game. That says something)
