Eleven years after the groundbreaking PC game Deus Ex, Deus Ex Human Revolution is ready to right all the wrongs made by the 2004 sequal Deus Ex Invisible Wars. Three games in one Deus Ex Human Revolution is deep, engaging and beautiful. Taking the basic elements and themes of the original and adding modern gaming staples such as a third person cover system and smart AI, Human Revolution is every bit as good as the original and now even better. The Augmented Version is as close to a perfect package as is possible without breaking the bank and includes the briliant sound track and a decent 'making of'. Simply put this game should be an instabuy for any gamer willing to invest in a world far more interesting than any other game this year.

Having never played a Deus Ex game before I can't say whether this latest entry in the series is better or worse than what has come before. What I can say though is just how fantastic this game is. A cross between Mass Effect and the Blade Runner movie, this is sci-fi gaming at its best. This is a game best played at a steady pace, take your time to explore and your efforts will be rewarded with extra side missions, hidden weapons, equipment and most importantly, alternative routes through different areas. The game can be played as as a shooter (although still more Mass Effect than Call of Duty) but is far better when stealth is used to avoid or incapacitate enemies instead. It's actually possible to complete the entire game without killing anybody (except bosses, a lot more fun than it sounds believe me). All in all, a fantastic RPG and one that I'd highly recommend to anybody who enjoyed the Mass Effect series.
