Great adventure, in which the Doctor (played by William Hartnell in all his finger-twitching, lapel-tugging glory) and his two assistants, Steven (later Blue Peter host Peter Purves) and Dodo (Jackie lane) visit a space craft carrying the last survivors of Earth on a very long-haul journey to find a new home. Dodo sneezes and the cold she's carrying almost causes a genocide - allowing the one-eyed, beatlewig-wearing Monoids to take over and enslave humanity. Great adventure, with bundles of extras and as ever, the production subtitles are very informative. One for 'Who' fans - young or old !

Its a long time since I've seen The Ark and it's a lot better than I remember. Some great performances, a lovely shock ending to episode two, and a lovely print of the episodes. A nice couple of extras make this a treat for fans of early Who.
